This site is published by ELECTACTIC as a catalogue of our machines. Reading it costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Prices and specifications

Every price on this site comes from our last update, and the date of that update is stated on the how we update page. Prices move between updates. Where the figure here and the figure at the till disagree, the till is right.

Capacities, dimensions and output ratings are the manufacturer figures for the machine as sold. Ratings such as pounds of ice per day and BTU per hour are measured under standard conditions. A warm room, warm inlet water or a poorly sealed window will all move a real result away from a rated one.

Buying

Our retail partner takes the payment, ships the machine and handles any return. None of that happens here. A contract of sale is formed there, on their terms, and not here.

Safety information

Where this site quotes safety guidance, it quotes national bodies by name and links to the page we read. That is general information, not an inspection of your home, your wiring or your window. Follow the manual that comes with the machine, and where the two differ, follow the manual.

Fitting and installation

Some machines here need fitting: a wall-mounted split system needs a refrigerant connection and a hole through a wall, a recessed fireplace needs an opening, a window unit needs brackets that carry its weight. Work of that kind belongs to a competent installer, and nothing on this site substitutes for one.

What we do not warrant

We do not promise that this site is free of error. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it, and the correction rule is written out on our editorial policy page.
